Mark is a pastel landscape artist specialising in painting traditional scenes of the landscape and coast of Britain.
The picturesque fishing harbours of St.Ives and Polperro in Cornwall renowned for their unique quality of light have been a major inspiration for many of his paintings as well as the Pembrokeshire coast,the mountains of the Brecon Beacons and rural Herefordshire.
Mark has always been fascinated by the effect of light and atmosphere upon the landscape which is evident within many of his paintings.
Mark has exhibited his work widely throughout South and West Wales and his original paintings are to be found in private collections in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Mark is an entirely self taught artist born and brought up in Newport,Gwent,South Wales.
A selection of Marks original paintings are exhibited at Ardent Gallery in Brecon.
